Spain

Big News.

Life is flying by and graduation is fast approaching.

This is the time of our lives! Things are just beginning!

Truth is…this time has been mildly stressful and FULL of the unknowns. And a control freak like myself doesn’t take well to the unknowns.

The biggest unknown is life after graduation, which is less than 26 days away! CRAZY!!!

Thankfully this past month, I’ve had a pretty clear direction regarding my postgrad life. I was honestly at a loss. I didn’t know what I was going to do. I didn’t apply for grad school, didn’t have a stellar job to jump into after graduation, and I didn’t just want to go home.

I wanted an adventure! And adventure I got!

—————

So, starting in July, for a whole year, I will be embarking on a journey to…ESPANA!

Seeing it in black and white and posted on the internet is such a big step! It adds to the realness of this upcoming reality.

My journey to Spain, is for an au pair (nanny in another country) position with a family in Madrid, Spain. They have two little munchkins, aged 4 and 5. My duties will include getting them up, dressed, fed, and ready for school. Then after school we get to play and have fun. Dinner then bedtime. And then it starts all over again. In between my time with the munchkins, I’ll be taking some Spanish classes, in hopes of sounding like a native 🙂 and getting in as much travel time as I possibly can. (If anyone has any tips, tricks or absolute musts of places to visit, feel free to share!)

I am so so excited for this opportunity, and will do my absolute best to update at least once a week while I am in Spain. But for now I just wanted to share this exciting news!

Despite all the excitement, it’s time to get back to reality and finish up these last few weeks of school! May 17th is just around the corner!
