Writing 101

So I signed up for Writing 101 a few weeks ago, and I honestly forgot that I had signed up. Then last week some stuff came up and when the challenge started, I was unable to partake in the first 5 days. So…since today is day 6 of the Writing 101 challenge, I will start there and if I can fit in the first 5 days, then those will get sprinkled in as well 🙂 This is yesterday’s that I never posted, and Day 7 should be up later today 🙂

Day 6: A Character-Building Experience

Who’s the most interesting person (or people) you’ve met this year?

Being that I am abroad this year and bopping around Spain, and hopefully more of Europe…the people and friends I’ve made this year have definitely been interesting. Two weeks ago I was on holiday and I stayed in a hostel. That week was such a mixing pot of people and languages. There were people from Spain, Italy, Germany, Latvia, Croatia, Czech Republic, and Poland. I mean…what? So many people and so many accents! Aside from that and hearing everyone’s stories and meeting the world, the friends that I’ve made while living here in Madrid have been a mix as well. A lot of them are also au pairs, but aside from Michelle, all are from other countries: Canada, England, Ireland and France. This year has just been the best because of all the people I have had the pleasure of meeting. I would not have gotten this experience if I was not living abroad. Love meeting new people and looking forward to meeting more!

  1. So nice to hear that you got to meet and chat with people from all over the world. I bet you learnt all the accents very quickly so you could understand what they were saying. Most interesting person I’ve met would be musician Lindsey Stirling. She plays violin and dances at the same time, and it was an honour to meet her and chat to her in person 🙂
